Hey Squids! Sick of your parents asking you to pause a live game???
Well, then you’re in the right place.
Step One
Listen to Big Mama’s House Podcast – Season 2 Episode 3: No Mom, You Can’t Pause a Live Game. And once you’ve heard it, make your parents listen to it! Better yet, sit next to your mom, and when you hear Big Mama say *exactly* what YOU are always saying – just smile and say “You see???”
Step Two
Grab a copy of the digital flowchart for parents of gamers. It’s a literal step-by-step decision flowchart for parents to decide whether or not they should talk to you while you’re gaming.
FREE – We’ll email you a black & white 8.5″ x 11″ copy of the poster that you can print out at home. (use the form below)

If you’re sick of getting yelled at about your phone use, but your parents are doing the same things, this episode will give you some strategies in how you can confront your parents (in a good way) about your THEIR device overuse. Also: download the Teen Family Contract to give to your parents.
Too many parents either don’t engage or don’t believe that their teens are suffering. That’s why Season 2 will be focused directly to teenagers. If we’re going to make even the slightest dent in digital safety we need help from a population who doesn’t need to be “convinced” that there’s a problem in the first place.
Big Mama’s House Podcast is now for teens (13 years old and up).
While covering true crime, tech issues, social media issues, bullying, sexting, etc – I’m also going to explore the latest discoveries in mental health, as well as topics exploring the immense amounts of pressure impacting teens.
(Insider info: Based on the episodes already recorded, I can guarantee that you’ll learn something new and laugh along in the process. Some of my guests are the teeensiest bit unhinged. My favorite.)
Useful to parents & schools too
As an added bonus, the teen-centric content will be a useful resource for parents and school districts. If you’re a parent or an educator and you’re not sure how to begin a conversation, feel free to use the episodes as the starting point for “real” conversations.
If you’ve landed in this space as an adult, you’re welcome to stay and participate. Just beware that we’re going to have some stuff to say to you too. Like, don’t ask your kids to put their phones down at dinner, while YOU have yours in your hand. Seriously. Enough is enough
Bottom Line
Season 1’s intended audience is adults and school districts
Season 2’s (and future season’s) intended audience is teens
